We specialize in the Shibboleth single-sign-on system, SugarCRM and SuiteCRM customer relations management systems, service integrations, service customization, and technical support. We have over ten years of experience working with Shibboleth projects. We have experience with Identity Providers (IdP), Service Providers (SP), setup, upgrading, maintenance and support.
Upgrading your Identity Provider (IdP) to version 4
IdP version 3.x will reach end of life on 31 December 2020. After that date there will be no more security patches or upgrades. It is strongly recommended to upgrade all IdPs to version 4.x by the end of 2020.
Upgrading your IdP can be done in two ways:
- Upgrading the existing IdP.
- Setting up a new IdP on a new server.
Option 2 is recommended when you want to also update your server environment, for example the operating system version. In most other cases the easier solution is to upgrade the existing IdP.
Our typical IdP upgrade project includes the following steps:
- Customer provides the server environment with remote access for us.
- Using remote access we install, configure and test Java, Jetty and IdP.
- We provide documentation of this to the customer.
- As an option, we also offer support and maintenance after the upgrade project.
